Speech to BNI East Auckland

Provided a 10 min presentation to BNI East Auckland about the need for people to have their website optimised for Mobile Devices.

There are currently over 5.3mil mobile phones in NZ, pop: 4.5mil,  (1 for every 5 sheep) and 50% of all connections to the Internet are made via Mobile devices (source: Statistics NZ)

Spoke about the attributes of an effective Mobile Website and provided a demonstraion using a Mobile Phone Simulator (http://www.webdzinz.co.nz/mobilesites/)

These continue to be extremely popular additions to the marketing toolkits of our customers.

Mobile Optimised Websites

There has been a big lot of interest in our Mobile Optimised websites.
Interesting to note that Google Analytic reports now includes a section which has detailed information about the number of Users, Devices & OSs so I guess that means that Google considers a Mobile Optimised site is desirable for SE ranking.
